Favorite Breastfeeding Books

Last week, I talked about my favorite online breastfeeding resources and now I want to share with you my favorite books for breastfeeding mamas.
The more you can learn about breastfeeding before your baby arrives, the better. It's always a good idea to have a few books on hand that you trust and know will provide you with good information. It is so easy to overwhelm yourself with information on Google about breastfeeding. The advice I give regarding Google is the same for picking out breastfeeding books...
...always check the source! You want books written by someone who knows a thing or two about breastfeeding.
These are my favorite breastfeeding books for new moms:
1. Breastfeeding Made Simple. Seven Natural Laws for Nursing Mothers by Nancy Mohrbacher, IBCLC and Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, IBCLC
2. Dr. Jack Newman's Guide to Breastfeeding by Dr. Jack Newman and Teresa Pitman
3. Latch. A Handbook for Breastfeeding with Confidence at Every Stage by Robin Kaplan M.Ed., IBCLC
4. Boost Your Breast Milk. An All-in-One Guide for Nursing Mothers to Build a Healthy Milk Supply by Alicia C. Simpson MS, RD, IBCLC, LD
These books would make amazing gifts for any mom-to-be in your life!
Happy reading!
